The Whitney Gallery of Western Art features a collection of works by artists ranging from Frederic Remington to Alexander Phimister Proctor, masters of their respective fields. The musuem is located in the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, on the western edge of town. Also featured at the museum are the recreated studios of Remington and W.H.D. Koerner, as well as the actual cabin where J.H. Sharpe worked, allowing a tantalizing peek into their artistic processes.
